- Cross-border hikes are possible with special arrangements. Most visitors hike on the Ugandan side due to better infrastructure and access.
Permit Fees and Logistics
All hikers must pay park entry and hiking fees. Porters, guides, and camping gear can be hired at trailheads.

Best Time to Hike Mount Elgon

Getting There
