Nga’Moru Wilderness Camp – Your Wild Retreat Near Kidepo Valley National Park
Perched on a low ridge overlooking the savannah plains of Kidepo Valley National Park, Nga’Moru Wilderness Camp offers a unique wilderness experience where nature meets comfort. Located just outside the park’s Kalokudo Gate, this small, intimate camp provides uninterrupted views of the Narus Valley and the distant mountains of South Sudan.
It’s a place where travelers can disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with the raw beauty of Uganda’s most remote national park.
Accommodation at Nga’Moru Wilderness Camp
Nga’Moru, meaning “place of rocks” in the local Karimojong language, offers simple but comfortable lodging that stays true to the wild landscape.
Safari Tents: The camp offers spacious en-suite safari tents set on raised wooden decks. Each tent includes a large bed with mosquito netting, solar lighting, and private verandas with sweeping views.
Thatched Cottages: For guests preferring more solid structure, the camp also features a few traditionally built stone-and-thatch bandas. These are designed with natural materials and offer en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and panoramic views of the surrounding plains.
You won’t find luxury in the traditional sense, but you will find warmth, charm, and total immersion in nature.
