Overview
The 5 Day Gorilla Tracking Tour, Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth Safari brings you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla tracking, Lake Mburo for wildlife and an exciting boat ride, and Queen Elizabeth for tree climbing lions on the Ishasha plains.
On your arrival day at the airport, you will be met by a certified guide/driver from African Adventure Travellers and transported to your pre-booked hotel. Depending on your airline’s arrival time, you may want to rest for a day after your long flight or begin your 5-day trip to Uganda the next morning.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Head to Lake Mburo National Park.
After your early breakfast, we begin our journey along the Kampala-Masaka highway. We’ll stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for a few minutes of photo shoots, have some coffee/tea, smoke a cigaratte if you want, stretch your muscles, and then continue our trip.
At this point, you will notice a difference in the vegetation and terrain as you travel from the flat and dry Central-Buganda region to the hilly and green Western-Ankole region.
Check out Lake Mburo National Park; you’ll definitely start seeing a lot of animals. Drive to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon spent relaxing by the pool with an ice cold beer. If you aren’t too exhausted, you can go on an afternoon safari or continue swimming.
Overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 2: Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Following our early morning meal, we will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive before embarking on an evening Kazinga Channel boat excursion.
