Overview
The 3-day Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth safari package takes you through Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda, where you will spot a number of mammal species like giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, elands, and many antelope species, and also takes you through Queen Elizabeth National Park (Uganda’s second largest national park), which gives you a chance of spotting tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha plains, visiting the crater lakes, experiencing the memorable game drives to spot many antelopes, buffaloes, hippos, and having a great unforgettable and memorable Kazinga channel boat cruise / ride on Lake George and Lake Edward.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park.
You will meet your driver at 7:00 a.m. at your hotel and head south-west to Lake Mburo National Park. We leave early to avoid the morning traffic in Kampala and catch up on the activities at the park. The travel from Kampala to Lake Mburo will take roughly 4 hours. This includes a 10-minute break near the Equator line for South and North Pole water tests and photo opportunities. Continue your journey through Masaka and Lyantonde communities before arriving at Lake Mburo National Park’s Nshara entrance, where you will see several impalas and waterbucks.
The game drive will continue as we wait for the 3:00 p.m. boat cruise. Many more creatures can be seen, including cape buffaloes, elands, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, leopards, topis, and many more. We will drive down to the lake for a one-hour boat excursion with more wildlife sightings. Hippopotamus, crocodiles, and a variety of birds, including common pied kingfishers and pygmy kingfishers, can all be found along the lake. Return to your waiting safari vehicle and drive through the wildlife trails again as you finish the day with last-minute sightings. You will return to your choice of accommodation to unwind and prepare for the following day.

Day 2: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We will start with a delicious breakfast and then proceed into the game trails, where we will see plenty of animals, particularly lovely zebras and pumbas. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a 3 p.m. boat excursion on the 36-kilometer Kazinga Channel. Expect to see many of birds, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and crocodiles. Return at 5 p.m. and continue for a one-hour tour to the Lake Katwe Tourism facility to see the flamingos, salt mining facility, and fishing town.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala.

Check out of the park and return to Kampala, with a drop-off at your preferred address.
